Construction Update - August 14 2026

Dear Family Members, Friends, and Benefactors,

With the exterior of the chapel building 99% complete, we have turned our attention to the interior. Sheetrock has been installed in the sacristy, restrooms, and hallways. These rooms are ready for primer and paint. Tile is currently being installed in the restrooms. The first image below is of the main sacristy, the second is a hallway leading to the restrooms.

Wallboard is also being installed in the chapel. These areas will be finished with a thin veneer of plaster, hence the different type of wallboard product. The south side aisle is shown below.

Setting up scaffolding to work on the ceiling and higher portions of the walls in the main nave.

At the same time, preparation is being made to install the mosaics in the apses above the two side altars.

In such a short time the interior of the chapel has undergone a transformation from a mostly open space to a busy place full of materials, tools, and activity. All to build a place worthy for the worship of God in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
